Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data SmartPilot collects through smartpilot.com and through our use of YouTube API Services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. SmartPilot is a product of TURK AI Inc., Ankara, Türkiye (“SmartPilot”, “we”, “us”), which is the data controller. You can reach us at info@smartpilot.com.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist

If you enter your email address in the early access form, we store it together with information sent with the form or derived from your request:

• your IP address and the approximate location derived from it (country, region and city);
• your browser’s time zone, language, screen size and user agent;
• the page you signed up on, the page that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters);
• the date and time of signup.

We use this to keep the waitlist, to contact you about SmartPilot (early access, availability and related news), and to understand where interest comes from. We send you one confirmation email when you sign up.

When you visit the site

Like most websites, our web server records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user agent. We use these logs to run and secure the site, and to see how it is used: how many people visit, where they come from and which pages they read. They are deleted after 14 days.

The pages also send a few usage events to our own server, for example that a page was opened, how long it stayed on screen, which sections came into view and whether the datasheet was opened or a video played. They carry a random number for that page view and coarse context (screen size, language, time zone, the referring site), go into the same server logs and are deleted with them after 14 days. Only our team sees the counts.

smartpilot.com does not set cookies and does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from our own server.

Embedded videos

Videos on the site show a still image stored on our server. Only when you press play is the YouTube player loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. From then on, YouTube receives information about your visit under Google’s Privacy Policy.

When you email us

We keep your message and contact details to answer you and to follow up on your request.

YouTube API Services

SmartPilot uses YouTube API Services to manage its own YouTube channel: to upload and edit our videos, organise playlists, read and moderate comments on our videos, and read our channel’s statistics. We do not use YouTube API Services to access your Google or YouTube account.

If you comment on or interact with our videos, we may see your public display name, channel and comment through the API, and use them only to reply to or moderate comments and to understand how our videos perform. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising, and we do not keep copies of it for more than 30 days, except totals (such as views or comment counts) that do not identify anyone.

By interacting with our YouTube channel you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke an app’s access to your Google account at any time on Google’s security settings page.

SmartPilot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site:

• DigitalOcean, which hosts our web server;
• Google (Google Workspace), which carries our email, including waitlist confirmations;
• ipwho.is, which turns the IP address of a waitlist signup into an approximate location.

These providers may process data outside Türkiye. We may also disclose data where the law requires it or to protect our rights and the security of the site.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist entries: until you ask us to remove you, or until the waitlist is no longer needed.
• Web server logs: 14 days.
• Emails: as long as needed to handle your request and our follow-up.
• YouTube data obtained through the API: as described above, at most 30 days.

Legal basis

We process waitlist data with your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and server logs and usage events on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it is used. Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), these are the bases we rely on.

Your rights

You can ask us whether we hold data about you, and to see, correct or delete it. You can withdraw your consent or leave the waitlist at any time, and object to our processing. Email info@smartpilot.com; we answer within 30 days. You also have the rights listed in Article 11 of KVKK and, where the GDPR applies, the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Türkiye, that is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Waitlist data is stored on our server with access limited to the team, and is never shown publicly.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell people on the waitlist by email.
