How SmartPilot Lite connects.

One camera in, video out to an analog VTX or an IP radio, and a UART link to the flight controller. Choose your video path to see the wiring.

Processed video to an analog VTX

Pick one camera source. The goggles show SmartPilot's processed image, and the flight controller supplies telemetry or OSD data over UART. An FC with its own analog OSD can also sit between SmartPilot and the VTX to add its overlay.

Connections

What plugs in where.

A

Analog VTX

Your analog goggles show SmartPilot's processed image with its overlay.

  1. Camera → SmartPilotOne camera: analog (CVBS, 4-pin), CSI (22-pin FFC, 2-lane MIPI CSI-2), USB (UVC, 4-pin) or IPEX.
  2. SmartPilot → analog VTXCVBS video out (3-pin) into the VTX's video input, PAL or NTSC.
  3. SmartPilot ↔ flight controllerUART (3-pin: TX, RX, GND) at 921600, MAVLink or MSP.
  4. VTX → gogglesOver your analog radio link, as today.

A flight controller with its own analog OSD can also sit between SmartPilot and the VTX to add its overlay.

B

Ethernet / IP radio

SmartPilot streams its processed image over your IP radio to a receiver and viewer.

  1. Camera → SmartPilotOne camera: analog (CVBS, 4-pin), CSI (22-pin FFC, 2-lane MIPI CSI-2), USB (UVC, 4-pin) or IPEX.
  2. SmartPilot → IP radio10/100 Ethernet (5-pin), H.264 video stream (RTSP*).
  3. SmartPilot ↔ flight controllerUART (3-pin: TX, RX, GND) at 921600 for telemetry and app data.
  4. IP radio → receiver + viewerThe radio and the viewer must support the chosen stream format.
